My family and I had great time visiting and staying st this cabin. It was the first time for my wife staying up in the mountains and she was amazed. We love the Christmas set up and the warm welcome.

The cabin is smaller than it appears in the pictures. The floor was dirty, I spilled water, wiped it up with a paper towel and the towel was black. Dusty under the bed, ring in the downstairs toilet, dead bug in the upstairs bed, live bug on kitchen countertop. Furniture in the living room is not conducive for 4 people because the two wooden rockers are not comfortable at all. Couch is slanted forward. With the fees I had to pay it was not worth it!

Debbie, we are sad to read this review. I will address the cleaners and inspectors. We also have properties sprayed once a month to prevent bugs. It is a battle being in the woods. Please give us another chance because we are a company that cares and wants our guests to have the best experience.

Cabin is in a nice quiet area, very pretty walk up and down the road, used the road for some cross country hill training with our middle schooler too. Cabin is very nice and very very clean! Beds were comfy, plenty of room for our family of 4. We had a great time, the location is convenient. 10 minutes to Helen, 45-1 hour from other places like Atlanta, Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, Ellijay. We would definitely stay again. Loved the screened porch for morning coffee/breakfast and used it every night. It rained every evening of our trip but we could still be outside while the kids were sleeping upstairs and we loved that!Very minor complaints, trash can step piece was broken, no cookie sheet in the kitchen or big bowl for mixing things (except a cute popcorn bowl) and the screened porch is not completely screened. The bottom half is actually open so we still had some bugs in there at night. As I said, very minor.

This was a beautiful spot to stay! We had mountain views from the front and back of the cabin. It was also located just close enough to Helen without being in the mess of foot traffic! The cabin was a perfect size and set up for an easy comfortable stay. The team managing this location was excellent! They respond fast to any questions and made sure to check in on us. Thanks! I would recommend this cute cabin with 5 stars!

The cabin was lovely with fantastic views! It was even decorated for the holidays which I found to be a nice touch. It was my mom’s birthday and they left a card and bottle of wine for her which was very thoughtful.

This is a cute little cabin that I would recommend for others to use for their vacation. It was not easy to find, it was clean and cute. It is structured kind of awkward with the door to one bedroom right by the front door but other than that it was a nice quiet place to spend the holiday and some down time with my son. The staff with Georgia Mountain Rental were so friendly and responsive and checked in with me not only before but right after I got there to make sure everything was okay.

This is an older property with remnants of non-central HVAC but it is updated and very lovely. The rental price is very fair given the slight wear of the place. This is basic, very clean, very nice, very cute - a little of everything and tastefully done. The open bedroom loft is very cozy, especially when it rains! The beds are comfortable and clean, the furniture is nice, and the views are breathtaking both front and back! We loved the mornings when we'd hear a rooster crow to wake us and watch the mist burn away into the day.

We try to stay at Sunset Overlook often. GMR maintains their properties beautifully and this cabin is just perfect for us. It seems to be a bit older but everything is decorated with charm and it's always sparkling clean. We also find the location to be very convenient as it is close enough to all the activities, and yet nicely situated to avoid the traffic jams that can happen in downtown Helen.

Cabin was cute, and you’re definitely in the mountains. It was quiet and quaint. It is pet friendly. It has everything you need. Just bring your food, clothes and toiletries. They even had a stackable washer/dryer so we were able to do our laundry. If Incould critique anything, or change anything, this is what I’d change. The place needs area rugs badly. I have tiny dogs, and the wood floors are very slippery and loud. The toenail clicks were atrocious lol plus it just makes it more cozy to have rugs. I’m glad we didn’t stay in the winter. Bring your own small ones if you need it. The floors could’ve been cleaner too. Previous dog hair was all over them. The back deck is NOT screened in on the bottom half, so expect wasps and bugs. We didn’t use it because of that. There’s a bbq and a fire pit. All in all, I’d recommend though. Most probably wouldn’t be annoyed by what I am. Lol town was not too far away.

The staff was exceptionally attentive. I never needed for anything.
As for the cabin, it was clean, well stocked, very comfortable, and very peaceful.
Everything was exactly as you would want from a retreat in the mountains.
I will stay here again.

We had a wonderful time staying in this cozy cabin! It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. The location was perfect, nestled in the woods with a stunning view of the mountains and stars. Our dog loved exploring the secluded neighborhood, and we loved exploring Helen so close by. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to stay with their pets.

Overall generally satisfied. Silverware drawer was detached at rear and inoperable. Sat on counter for stay. None of the nite lights worked. Front door lock always remained locked. Very inconvenient to go out and re-enter. Entry code too long and not easily remembered. Very inconvenient.

The cabin was in a good location, the cabin was well taken care of, besides the mattress needs updated very uncomfortable, one side of the dinning room plugs and lights and outside lights did not work. Other then that is was good.

This is our second visit to Sunset Overlook. Not only is the sunset stunning, but also the sunrise. We love this cabin. It is decorated quietly....not filled with too many accessories. The styling is beautiful and comfortable. Sparkling clean, this cabin offers everything we need and more.

The property was exactly as described and was immaculate. It's situated nicely between Helen and Clarksville. Clarksville is where I did my grocery shopping.
I travelled solo with my dog and felt absolutely safe. Loads of family friendly and dog friendly trails. Great place to relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful countryside.

Sunset Overlook I miss a sweet little cabin, perfect for us, with our pup. I love that GA Mountain Rentals has cabins that are pet friendly. Out Teddy had a wonderful time! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, utensils, which made it easy to cook in. Beautiful view from back screened porch. GMR staff was also very helpful in retuning an item that we accidentally left behind. We will definitely return to Sunset Overlook.

We liked the area a little away from Helen, nice and quiet. The cabin, however, is very creaky! There is no sneaking around in this place, but it is very cute and clean. The beds were too soft for my hubby - he likes a much harder bed. We enjoyed our stay!

The cabin was great! It was clean. Great little view. Could use at least a two person hot tub.
Ok, all good, BUT! The floors squeak upon every step all over the house! And not a small squeak, but a very loud squeak. So much so that it would wake everyone up in the house no matter where you walk. It was just me and my wife so it wasn’t a deal breaker where we would leave but don’t take the family or children unles everyone goes to bed at the same time and no one gets up during the night. Nice place, but something should have been said to us and the price is way too high for the inconvenience.

The home was nice with a good view of Yonah Mtn. We would have liked to have had a few more staple items in the kitchen (like salt and pepper). the Hot tub was glorious and although we didnt get a chance to use the Fire Pit, that would have been enjoyable as well.

Good condition, hot tub was an unexpected plus, it was nice to soak after hiking all day. Close to Helen and lots of other things to do. View from the cabin was awesome, sunsets were beautiful.
