Settin' on the Creek

This was our second time coming to this cabin retreat away from home and we really enjoy staying here. The hot tub was amazing and everything pretty much worked as it should. The only complaint that we has was that using the items in the kitchen was hit or miss. One of the afternoons that we were there i had called the rental company asking for a can opener because we searched everywhere to no avail. The gentleman I spoke to said he’d have one brought out to us but it would be about 30 min. We waited and no one ever showed so we had to purchase one in town. That was kinda disappointing to say the least .

The cabin was perfect for 3 or four people. Nice layout with each king bedroom to opposite sides of the central living/dining area. The cabin is rustic but with all the modern conveniences.The area was kept natural and although there were about 20 cabins in the development they were well spread out. The cell phone signal was weak but excellent wifi for Internet and wifi calling. The interior streets are narrow and mostly gravel that just adds to the secluded feeling yet it's just a few minutes away from downtown Helen. As for Georgia Mountain Rentals, we did encounter a little cleaning mix-up but their response when called quickly made everything more than right. Sometimes things slip through the cracks and the test is the response. In this instance GMR earned an A+.

My husband came to the Helen area to relax and enjoy the mountains. The location of this cabin was perfect-on a creek, in the woods but easy to access and just minutes outside of Helen. The cabin was rustic but comfortable with modern amenities like WiFi and smart tvs. Check-in was hassle free and the management company easy to reach and very responsive. We will come back.

Everything was as described. Perfect location about 7 min outside of downtown. Beds were excellent. cabin was very clean. Located just three miles from Helen along a scenic road by the Unicoi National Forest, it's also conveniently close to Anna Ruby Falls. What a Great cozy cabin! It was nice and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub and the scenery of the gazebo lit up at night. In the morning we enjoyed having or coffee in the sunroom. I would recommend this cabin and look forward to visiting again soon.

We enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to Helen, Cleveland, Brasstown Bald. Nice and clean two bedroom cabin. Everything was great. Had a little back yard to hang out in while our dog got a little exercise. I would definitely consider using this same cabin again if we go back to the same place.

The cabin was exceptionally clean and comfortable for the 3 nights we stayed. The king sized beds felt firm the first night but I got used to them. The water pressure was amazing and the location was peaceful. Very close to Helen and other interesting sites. Overall we were very happy with it. My mother and I had a lovely week-long stay in this cabin. It was close enough to Helen and other areas of interest but still afforded peace and tranquility while "at home" during our stay. Everything was clean and well-stocked, and the creek in the backyard was a nice place to sit and relax. Additionally, as a storm approached the area during our stay, the management team reached out to make sure we were safe. I would highly recommend this cabin and this management team to anyone visiting the area.

Overall a great stay! Cabin was clean and well kept. The layout was nice with the bedrooms being on opposite ends of the cabin, it had an extension at the back which was my favorite part of the cabin where you can have your morning coffee and watch the sunrise on a rocking chair in a cozy and warm environment, water pressure was good, and kitchen was well stocked.

Georgia Rental's customer service was excellent. The old coffeemaker needed to be replaced and they did so promptly the next day. Sherry and Jessica were very helpful.

I would recommend this cabin to a friend. We went around Helen, GA for the first time, and there is a number of good restaurants away from the touristy part which in my opinion was offering better food such as Hoochee's River Basket, Nacoochee Village Tavern & Pizzeria, Betty's Country Store, and Creekstone Winery.

I look forward to coming back and staying with Georgia Rental again.

The property is exactly as described and as seen in the pictures. We had a fabulous time just relaxing in the hot tub, sitting in the gazebo over the Creek listening to the water flow, we grilled out on the back deck and enjoyed the sun setting through the trees. So close to downtown Helen you could be at Betty's Country Store in less than 10 minutes. Perfectly laid out cabin for a friend's getaway or two couples. We have already shared the cabin and cabin company info with several friends and are already planning our next trip!!

Was disappointed that the closest grocery store was in Cleveland it appeared that y’all did not have much rain the creek we considered a ditch and whoever blew the leaves blew a lot into the creek we had to remove the mound of leaves to hear it flow I would like to recommend Brasstown Bald it was the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen

We stayed in Settin On the Creek for only a couple of days. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and a great location for seeing some of the sites around the area. I can imagine that staying there in winter and building a fire in the massive fireplace would be lovely
The beds were very comfortable.. Georgia Mountain Rentals were very responsive and checked to see that all was well.
A few suggestions:
Not that I’m there to watch TV but if by chance you want to watch, a larger screen TV in the living room would be better.
The rental company supplied a few items and since we were there for such a short period that is what we used. The sponge/scrubber was so cheap that it disintegrated in my hand like cotton candy and the paper towels were like newspaper. Also the $75pet fee is outrageous for a very clean pet-although that is the norm these days and I was glad to be able to bring my dog.
All in all it was a great stay and other than the size of the TV, if the rental company had put out a few more pennys there’d be nothing critical to say.

We selected this cabin as our getaway place for a week's vacation. The cabin was clean and cozy, having all the amenities a family would need. While we didn't have an opportunity to take advantage of the fire pit, we did take time to sit outside and enjoy nature on the porch swing and gazebo. We also used the hot tub which was clean and hot upon arrival. The cabin is conveniently situated in the middle of the mountains but just minutes from downtown Helen. The only recommendation I could offer is to have a couple of games or puzzles available for guests to enjoy on a rainy day. There are checkers on the porch, but we didn't find any others.) Overall, our visit was just what we were looking for- tranquility and an ability to relax in a comfortable cabin in the mountains.

Very convenient to Helen and all surrounding activities such as tubing, state park, hiking, fishing, restaurants. The area was just over 3 miles from Helen, and nice and quiet. The cabin was very nice, had a nice enclosed and air conditioned sitting room on the back deck. We spent every evening there. The hot tub was perfect. Grill, fire pit, swing, and a gazebo bridge over the creek. If you’re looking to relax and be away from elevators, folks goi g in and out of rooms all hours of the night, this is your spot. We’d highly recommend it, and plan to go back.

Very beautiful cabin. We loved the gazebo over the little creek, it was so relaxing sitting out there. My only complaint would be that there should be a note posted in the bathroom on how to work the showers. It is addressed in the guest book, but I didn't think to even look there. Overall, we had a great experience and we are looking forward to booking this cabin again.

This cabin is a great location, peaceful and relaxing and super close to everything in Helen. The cabin is very clean, beds are comfortable and living room furniture is comfortable. I did reach out and asked if it had a blender and I was told this property doesn't, so I brought my, however it does have one. In addition, the description stated no dishwasher but it has one, a small one but it needs to be mounted to counter tops. It is gravel roads with some deep dippets that need to be filled with gravel and smoothed out,my best friends dodge challenge had some issues but my truck did great. We do recommend this place and would stay again.

We had a delightful time. Location was great as was the rental home. It was so peaceful and the gazebo with the creek was relaxing. We love nature but due to being allergic to poison we were confined to roads only. The quiet room off the back was peaceful but had a smell. Not sure what it was. We turned the air on thinking it might help but didn’t.

Loved our stay here, it was clean, well maintained and had everything we needed for our stay. Part of the porch is enclosed and had a separate a/c; which my husband loved to sit by and look out onto the creek and the forest. There was only one negative is we did seem to run out of hot water rather quickly when doing bathing. I am not sure why but it really wasn't a huge issue for us as our family usually takes quick showers, but something to be noted. We would happily stay here again.

Had a great time, this place is lovely! If you use the fireplace, know you will go home with all your stuff smelling like smoke - that was a month ago and my purse and luggage still stink! The chimney is too small and the house fills up with smoke. But everything else was wonderful and would highly recommend!

The cabin was perfect. It was close to a stream with a gazebo built right over the stream. Perfect place to sit was a blanket and a book. The other cabins are far enough away that you can't hear or distribute each other. We took or doodle and she loved her first vacation. Enough room in the woods for her to roam. The bed was very comfortable with a king sized bed in both rooms. It was perfect.

My family and I spent 3 nights at this awesome and well furnished cabin property. The layout was lovely, inside & outside. The facilities/amenities were top notch. We enjoyed the using the fireplace. Wi-Fi made up for the low-bar mobile grid. In any event, the location was perfect, just north of Helen and right next to Unicoi State Park. We were able to explore both places with ease (and probably more when prepared). Staff was friendly and hospitable. We're definitely looking forward future trips here to explore more of North GA.

Was a great experience however the housekeeping could be a little better, I had to get my dog's ball from under the loveseat and there was a baby diaper under it, also the light fixtures could have been cleaned, but overall it is a great property!

Great place for 2 to 4 adults wanting 2 baths. Wonderful hot tub. Very close to town, Unicoi and Anna Ruby falls.

The cabin was probably one of the cleanest cabins I have ever been to. It is very close to town, but you feel very secluded! The gazebo is perfect by the creek & great firepit area! Definitely a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I rented this cabin for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was perfect!! The cabin was clean and well stocked. There is a fire pit in the back with lots of comfy chairs around it and a cute gazebo over the creek. The sounds of nature were so relaxing!!!
