Rivers Rest

Perfect location. AShort8-12 minute walk into town. The sounds of the River made this rental so relaxing. Perfect amount of amenities in the rental, lots of kitchen tools and a few extras left by other guest but you will need to go to the store for other basics. Beds were comfortable and clean. The upstairs bedrooms were big and so were the bathrooms. The only recommendation I have is better window coverings as they don't shutout enough light in my opinion. The driveway is very steep and a little nerve racking to back out of but we figured out to out to handle it pretty quickly. It is short and steep and the river is at the bottom. Very close to Betty's store and the Go-Kart / Arcade. You can walk from the rental to the other end of Helen on a nice 30 minute walk. We would definitely rent again.

We had a wonderful time here. My husband and I had our pup with us as well which was great. We enjoyed being close to fishing as well as close to town. Wonderfully warm cabin that made us feel right at home.

Perfect Christmas getaway with our 2 college “kids”. Plenty of room for watching sports on the tv and playing games at the kitchen table. Sleeping to the sounds of a rushing river was amazing! Unit was super clean and adequately stocked. Short walk into to Helen. Would highly recommend this unit!

The small touches, like board games, a well appointed kitchen, throw blankets, and more really made it very cozy. There were a few cobwebs in high corners, and a couple of door dents and very minor things that show it is a rental and not lived in full time but it was a great property. We'd stay here again. It is a bit too far to walk into downtown Helen for most people and the drive is very steep on a single lane road.

Took our two grandsons on a little 4 day 3 night vacation to rivers rest. It's on the river,cozy and clean.I cannot think of one thing to critique. This will probably become an annual trip.

I stayed at Rivers Rest with my family for one last get away before school started. It was a great property conveniently located to waterfalls we wanted to visit and to town. We walked to town each day. I was grateful for my backup camera since the drive was directly across from the river. I would stay here again. I do want to note that the bathroom door in the room with the king bed cannot close because the bed is too close. It wasn’t a problem for us. I loved having the half bath on the main floor by the kitchen.

We really enjoyed the cabin feel of the townhouse. The large balcony porches provided relaxation during the mornings and evenings with the sound of the river and birds. They also provided entertainment during the days as the tubers would get caught on rocks or squeal from a short plunge. I enjoyed fishing in the early mornings and caught several beautiful rainbow trout and a red eye bass while my wife relaxed with a coffee on the deck.

This place is better than described. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated and so welcoming. The beds were super comfortable. I didn’t realize there was a Jacuzzi spa in the master bathroom, which was a nice bonus. The easily accessible upper and lower patios made the place seem even more spacious. The kitchen was well supplied with many appliances. It would have been nice to have more than one dish towel and a dish rag to wipe the counters. I called the management about it to see if I just couldn’t find the towels and they said that that is all that housekeeping must have left for us. It was not a big deal because we used the black wash cloth to wipe counters. There was a roll of paper towels but it would have been nice to have napkins provided as well. We bought a pack and left it for the next guests. We had a most wonderful time. Our only regret is that we couldn’t enjoy it longer. We would love to come back someday!

Rental was very clean and had the things one would need from home. Loved the warm throws and the deck furniture. Dishes and cookware were super nice. Loved the decor as well. The only complaint would be the steep driveway.

We absolutely LOVED our stay!!! The location of the cabin was great, just on the edge of town - super close to everything, but also very private. The cabin is very clean and beautifully decorated! We spent a good amount of time on the porches... swinging, rocking and sitting in the hot tub (which is the best one we’ve ever been in) listening to the stream. If the weather is nice you can open your window and let the stream lull you to sleep. The beds are comfy, there are extra blankets if needed. I love that both bedrooms have their own private bath. And the second bedroom has queen size bunk beds!!! The kitchen has everything we needed. Everything worked perfectly. The living area is cozy and comfortable with plenty of seating. We were contacted the first day to make sure all was well and to make sure we call if there were any issues. I have to say this was probably our best experience in a rental and we hope to be here again!!!
What we did and loved - Cimmi’s (pancakes), Scaztie’s (bagels), Cowboys & Angels (steak), Chattahooche Cheese Market (sandwiches), Anna Ruby Falls, Tallulah Gorge, Toccoa Falls, Dukes Falls, Minnehaha Falls. We hope to return soon.

This was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had staying in Helen. The property was so comfortable, and the way everything was laid out inside made it feel even bigger than it was. Being right on the river was so nice. We loved sitting out on the deck and listening to the rushing water. Everything was well thought out for guests, and the local rental company called during our stay to make sure everything was okay. We had one little hiccup during our stay, and the on-call maintenance person was there in 15 minutes to solve the problem. And when he found out it was my birthday, he even brought me a bottle of wine the next day! So sweet! My family and I had a great time, and we can’t wait to come back!

The river view is amazing. Two huge porches with hot tub and lots of sitting choices(favorite was swinging chair). Kitchen very well supplied for cooking. Private location but still close to town. Decor Comfy, beds very comfortable. We just sat on the covered porches for hours enjoying Georgia.would stay here again

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. The location is fantastic! The sounds and sights from the balconies can’t be beat. We enjoyed the sound of the flowing river, especially during the peaceful morning and evening hours. The hot tub was clean and was much appreciated after tubing and enjoying the outdoors. The inside of the home was very clean and comfortable. Overall, we had a great time on our Georgia mountain adventure.

This rental exceeded our expectations! It was clean and very well decorated. The driveway is a little steep but not a deal breaker. We hope to stay here again. It’s a very short drive to town or you could easily walk. The kitchen and pantry had everything needed to cook a meal. It’s a very quiet and relaxing place to unwind. The rental company is amazing too. They called to check up on our stay and were so helpful when I booked with them. Highly recommend!

Rivers Rest was a perfect location and very clean. Everything you need is there. Hot tub was very nice. Sounds of the river outside your window was fabulous. My favorite thing was sitting in nice rockers and watching the tubers go by. My family loved this place. Georgia mountain rentals were great! Check in and booking we’re super easy.

Rivers Rest has everything you need to enjoy your time in the mountains! We enjoyed being minutes from downtown Helen while feeling worlds away. With a beautiful view from every window and a home that offers everything you need to enjoy your stay, we cannot wait to return! The property management team reached out before checkin and once we got settled the next day to make sure we had everything we needed and offered their services should anything come up. The cabin was super clean. It is located in the perfect place for peace and tranquility but walking distance to downtown Helen. The beds are really comfortable and we loved the double queen bunk beds in the second room. The porches facing the river is so nice. We loved that the pantry had basic necessities and seasonings so that we didn't have to buy everything. My kids loved the hot tub and utilized it everyday. Having a washer and dryer in the cabin was really convenient so we didn't have to go home with dirty clothes and towels. The owners have decorated it really nice and it feels welcoming and cozy. We will definitely stay at this location again. A++++++++++ Rating!

A wonderful and relaxing experience. The townhouse is beautiful...(and somewhere in that house are my husband's sunglasses). He misplaced them. We walked into town, walked to get groceries at Betty's, we walked everywhere. I was impressed with the beauty of this location. The home had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and accommodating; I am ready to go back!

My husband and I stayed at River's Rest with our 8-year-old daughter. We absolutely loved it here. The place was clean and all the furnishings and decor were really nice. You can tell the owners put a lot of love and care into this place. We have dietary restrictions, so we cooked all our meals here. Everything we needed was available in this kitchen. I loved the huge pantry space for hiding away all our things too! The layout and space here was wonderful. There was plenty of space for cooking, eating, relaxing, sleeping. We loved the indoor and outdoor spaces. The location on the river was so nice and it is so close to downtown that we always walked anytime we headed downtown. This unit is located just on the edge of town, so leaving for various outings was easy too. GMR was great to work with and I loved their personal touches. We absolutely loved our stay at River's Rest and hope to come back!

My three daughters and I spent some girl time here last weekend before the wedding of my middle daughter. We were very happy with our stay. The rental was clean and cozy. The bedrooms were well laid out each having its own bathroom. The hot tub was wonderful on a cool raining evening and we loved the sound of the river. The location was great being close to everything down town. Be careful pulling in to the parking area, it is quite steep and if your car is low to the ground it may scrape and backing out can be a bit tricky. Overall it was a great place to get away for the weekend.

We had a fabulous stay. Cabin was clean, hot tub was on, and view was very relaxing. The cabin is close enough to walk anywhere you’d like to go. We will be back. The only down side was there was no cable or remote to operate TV in master bedroom. If that were available this would be 5 stars.

Cabin was clean, cozy and in a great location! Beds and pillows were all good size and super comfortable! Just be advised it does have two flights of stairs. First flight to get to common area off of garage (living space and kitchen), second flight to both bedrooms.
