We rented this cabin for my daughter's six year old birthday and we had an amazing time. It was close enough to everything we wanted to do, the hot tub was great, the cabin was super clean, and it was extremely cozy. I saved this cabin for future rentals since we enjoyed it so much.

Absolutely beautiful cabin! We stayed in Gretel’s Haus. We decided to come a day early and had planned on staying in a hotel. One phone call and we discovered the cabin was ready and available and they allowed us to stay that night! This is our 5th trip to Helen. We LOVE this town. This will now be ‘our’ cabin when we come down! Cozy, clean, private. Great communication from the office! They even called to check on us the second day to make sure everything was ok! No leaving messages…they answer the phone every time. We spent our last night here trying to figure out a way to stay longer and avoid having to end our mini vacation 🤣🤣. Highly recommend!! Most relaxing stay in Alpine Helen!!

Overall nice place but it was lacking a few common items: No firewood for the advertised fireplaces, no shampoo or conditioner, no kitchen basics to include foil, baggies, etc.

Doug we are sorry you were disappointed in the lack of supplies. We at one time did supply shampoo and it was such a waste. We do sell firewood, but do not supply it. Also I understand the wanting foil, and baggies it is just something that we can not keep up with. Thank you for staying with us

Just enough space to unwind on the deck, soak in the hot tub, do a little star gazing too. Great area to walk as well. Cozy clean and comfortable cabin. Very close to Helen and unicoi park, visited three waterfalls too.

I booked Gretels Haus last minute. Jessica & Sherry were awesome. Very easy process. Location was perfect, very clean and just what we needed.Very comfortable with everything we needed. They even called the next morning to ensure checkin and all was ok. Only adjustments I suggest is hot tub was only 97/98 degrees, that's bath water but still enjoyed. Water pressure could be better in cabin and door code too long..lol..NONE of these would stop me from renting again.

Our family of four, along with our beloved dog, recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Mountain Fever, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere of the cabin.

The space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The kids loved having their own room, fire pit, and access to walking the neighborhood, while we appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and comfortable furnishings. The dog-friendly touches, like a secure yard and nearby trails, made it easy for our pup to feel right at home.

The location was ideal—nestled in nature but still close to Helen. We spent our days exploring nearby lakes, hiking trails, and parks and our evenings enjoying family time by the fire place and firepit, stargazing, and making s'mores.

The hosts were fantastic—responsive, helpful, and clearly committed to ensuring their guests have a great experience. It’s not often you find a place where everyone in the family, including the dog, feels so welcome.

We left with wonderful memories and are already planning our return trip. If you’re looking for a peaceful and family-friendly escape, Mountain Fever is the perfect choice!

Great location on beautiful property close to a ton of hikes. Management was quick to respond/helpful. I would say that the property is clean in general. A few repairs are needed and decor is dated. I would recommend a usable table for the back deck.

Property was just as described with accurate/updated pics. Hosts were very, friendly and helpful, they gave detailed instructions on how to get to the cabin. Very cute place and would definitely recommend it to anyone. The only item I think should be addressed is the control panel on the hot tub was shorted out so some of the bottons worked different parts for example the jets button turned the light on underwater. They have it labeled so that wasn’t a huge deal plus the hot tub was really our favorite part and is what sold us totally on the property.
The only other item and it could just be us now that I’m almost 40 lol... Would be the bed in the upstairs or the (King bed) it was pretty hard and by our second night it kept my wife and I up. So perhaps a mattress topper, other than that place was on point and even had some festive decor for the holiday season.

My husband and I stayed here over the weekend. This was the perfect escape. Cabin is very cozy, clean and bed is so comfortable. We definitely recommend this place and it a short drive to Helen.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was large enough not to feel boxes in, but small enough to feel cozy. The layout is wonderful and we really loved it. The location is perfect, 10 minutes from Helen, and secluded, but without being in the middle of nowhere.

Our stay here at Mountain favor was very nice. It’s super close to Helen and not a horrible drive up the road like most people would anticipate in the mountains. The house is a little bit small but big enough for a small family. The fire pit was easy to light up and also the hot tub worked very good. sherry from the office called us the next day to check and see if we needed anything which I thought was very nice and courteous. we originally had another cabin booked, but due to some changes and travel dates, Sherry was able to accommodate us into this cabin. I recommend this cabin, and would return if I ever came back to Helen.

Could not have been a better 4-day stay. We met old friends for a get-together and the house was perfect for 4 people. Close to Helen, but far enough away to feel like we were in a secluded mountain get-away. Very comfortable, clean with everything you would expect for a great stay. Hot tub was great, fire pit was perfect and the outside table with umbrella was wonderful. If this place is available, you should book it now!

Mountain Fever was the perfect little cabin for my husband and I to celebrate our honeymoon. It is in a great location- about 10 minutes from downtown Helen. It was clean and the staff checked in to see if there was anything they could do for us. We enjoyed our stay!

The cabin was nice and clean upon arrival. The management staff was very friendly and called to make sure I did not have any difficulty finding the location and did not have any needs upon my arrival. There are other cabins around but not too close so we were able to enjoy the peace and quietness of nature. If I return I will be staying here again.

Amazing cabin ,very clean,great amenities,hot tube ,grill. The only negative thing is that I spend an hour to find the place, the directions to get there are not much use, there are no signs, they do not give direction in the gps, they should try to send the location of the cabin through the cell phone using location is something easy to do, we are in the 21st century !!
