Chattahoochee Shoals

As far as the property is concerned I have no complaints, the location was perfect for the type trip I was on. A four wheel drive vehicle is best for the very steep driveway, but you can always park on top of the hill. My only grievance is the bbq grill... it’s ****, half the burners wouldn’t lite, and the ones that did were not doing so great. If you have a a group of six people to grill for , prepare for a potential case of the reds... if you know what I mean. The hot tub was awesome after long days of walking/ hiking. It is a beautiful area, that needs a new grill. So if you don’t have to have granite countertops and the luxury of a beach condo, this place is simple, practical and I could have enjoyed a day of just laying around the property. The view was exceptional! The walk to the river was a little tough but was well worth it! The home is older but offers just what you need.

We loved our stay at the cabin! A home-y, comfortable place with amazing views and access to the Chattahoochee River. Hot tub was good, and we enjoyed the wood-burning stove on chilly evenings!

We stayed here for a girls trip a couple of weekends ago. I would love to be able to give a good review but I just can't. UP until we got there, the property managers were very responsive and even let us do an early check in at 2 instead of 4. However, they were supposed to call before we got there with the code but they did not. I had to call them to get it which was not ideal due to the lack of phoe service up at the cabin. I Finally got a signal and got a old of someone to give me the code. The drive up to the cabin is just treacherous. Luckily, we had vehicles that made it but I would expect most smaller cars could not make it. If you are going during icy weather I would assume you will not be able to come and go very easily. The driveway at the house is quite steep and we almost got stuck and couldn't get out. It would have been nice to have some warning on the drive to the cabin situation. The cabin itself was not clean. The sliding doors were filled with nasty disgusting dead bugs. It just didn't feel clean and the musky smell that you got when entering was terrible. The only think we enjoyed about this place was the view. I really do not recommend this due to the reasons I just mentioned.

We had a great time at this cabin! The view was beautiful! We stayed out on the porch overlooking the river a lot! The cabin was clean and there was plenty of new pots and pans to cook with. The management company was great to work with!

We were celebrating our 20th anniversary and this was the perfect place to do it. The view was beautiful, the hot tub wonderful, and it is close enough to town to run to the store but also completely secluded. We are already talking about when we can go again.

This cozy cabin is located way back in the woods in a very remote area, so far back, you do not even hear the sound of cars in the distance. The Chattahoochee River is a short, but somewhat steep, walk down hill from the cabin. When you get to the river, bear to your left and you'll find a path way which will lead you out to the shoals. You'll be able to stand right out in the river, and enjoy the peace and quiet, with no other homes in sight! We discovered from Google maps that this property is situated across from a nature preserve, so you really are away from it all out here.
The cabin features a double deck; the lower deck has a hot tub for relaxing. Surprisingly, we were not at all bothered by insects while we were enjoying our visit here, which happened to be in October.
The cabin has all the basics you would expect, and the rental staff were very helpful when we called with questions.
We would definitely stay here again.

The secnd year in a row we have rented Chaatahoochee Shoals.Although a little rough roads getting to it was worthwhile.The nonstop rushing of water on the rapids was so peaceful.We spent hours on the wraparound porch and enjoyed each minute.If my health allows I will be back next year.

We like this cabin a lot! This was our second time staying here. It is clean, comfortable and has everything we needed. Very good costumer service. Close enough to Helen, groceries and other activities. We love the river! We intend to return for sure!

Our family had a great time at this cabin. It's private and secluded the way we like. It's clean and had everything we needed. The river is gorgeous!! We enjoyed it so much! It's located close enough to Helen, grocery stores and all the activities. The Georgia Mountain Rentals' personal is very courteous and was very helpful when we needed. We plan to stay there again.

We had a few issues to discuss with the management company upon arrival. After ironing out the issues, the rest of the stay went well. The location is nice and private, but close enough to drive into Helen daily. The kids loved the river and we were happy to unplug for a few days.

Nice place on the river even though it was steep climb.
The kitchen could use more items for cooking but overall it did the job. Property managers provided good customer service. The driveway very steep but worth it. I would recommend this cabin if you want to be secluded and enjoy the river.

Too short but very very enjoyable and relaxing especially the wonderful sound of the water on the rapids.The wrap around deck is so enjoyable.Quite a few hours spent there.Beds were comfortable and cabin was well equipped.We would consider coming back for another stay.

This little place was an amazing place for a short getaway! There isn’t really a whole lot to do locally. We spent our 3 days just staying close to home and swimming in the river! The neighbor has a few dogs that run loose so be on the lookout. They seem to be nice but are quiet and appear out of nowhere. The cabin itself was perfect! Gates on the entry way of the deck made it a safe place for my family to hang out and not have to worry about our 2 dogs getting loose.

AMAZING!!! One of the best family vacations. My son loved being right on the river. It was serene to hear it roaring everyday. If you like being out in the country and relaxing this house is for you! Plus it is only a short drive to Helen to stock up on groceries.

We stayed for a 2 day quick weekend trip. We only left the cabin 2 times and that was just to go tubing! The river was so peaceful to hear from the hot tub! We have saved this one and hope to return!

This house was perfect for our family of four. Plenty of room and the deck overlooking the river was great. It was too cool to swim, but we had a ball playing in the river. There is access to the river down a small path. We would definitely like to come back soon.

We had a great time on our last minute vacation because of a hurricane evacuation. Very pretty and peaceful! Toured around to Helen and the park with Anna Ruby Falls, floated in the river. Had the best time and my 10 year old son was outside every second!

We love this place. It's our 4th summer stay here. Furniture updates in family room and downstairs since our last stay were nice although we preferred two couches over two tables. That's just because the six of us gather around TV for Jackbox family game nights (Xbox). Mattress in master bedroom is wonderful. Customer service is top-notch. Planning to return.

We had a great time. The house was nice & clean, just like the pictures on the website. The view & sound of the river from the porches were amazing! The only issue was the steep parking to the house. I have four wheel drive ,but after rain at night, it was very nerve wracking to drive to the top. So we ended up just parking at top & walking. The staff was very nice. There is a lot to do in the area, such as tubing thru the town of Helen. Also wonderful waterfalls.

My wife and I planned a Valentine's day weekend getaway! We got to the cabin around 3:30 on Friday afternoon! Upon arriving we found the cabin to be clean and well stock with the usual necessities. My wife and I were beat so we decided to just stay in for the evening, so we chose to watch some TV to pass the time. There wasn't any reception at all, so we said no problem since she and I have smart phones, lmbo Oh! Make sure you have unlimited data as we do because there weren't any wifi neither! We went down stairs to check the hot tub out and found it to be one of the better models, we relaxed to the jets kicking on high for about 30 minutes to an hr. Next morning I decided to take in a little trout fishing lol beautiful scenery by the way! The river was swelled a little to much due to all the rain but I truly enjoyed it non the less! If you want adventure and are a fishing buff this is the place for you!

Must walk down the river to find an entrance but it's wonderful when you do! Should have four wheel drive to get to the property, getting up the drive way requires four wheel drive if there is any rain at all.

We recently stayed 5 nights at Chattahoochee Shoals for our anniversary family trip. My husband, me, our 18 year old and our small dogs along were along for the trip. We enjoyed the cabin. There is no easy access to the river to fish and swim at the cabin but there is a state park river access close. Also the direct TV has very limited channels and I was unable to use my netflix due to the wifi would not connect but that was not a big deal. The one rainy night we decided to stay in we rented from redbox. This place is very roomy. The king master bed was so comfortable. We wanted it for our own home.

The cabin was absolutely amazing. Clean, relaxing. The hot tub was wonderful. The view of the river is beautiful. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, but the view of the river from the large 2 story deck is absolutely amazing.
