This was the perfect getaway. The cabin was very clean, the location was perfect, and the view was gorgeous. It was just the peaceful break we needed. Management checked-in to be sure all was well and let me know how to reach them if there was an issue. We had no issues and did not have to contact them. I cannot wait for another trip and will be using Georgia Mountain Rentals again.

This was a nice cabin in a great location. Only 5 min from Helen and also very close to several places to hike. It was very clean and has a pool table and hot tub if you don't feel like going anywhere. Only a few small things that could have made it better were the shower heads were VERY weak. This is an easy fix for the owner tho. Also there is only parking for 1 vehicle. I would definitely stay here again. This was a nice place

A Glimpse of Heaven was wonderful. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities promised and more. We enjoyed using the hot tub everyday we were there. We also played pool and made a fire in the fire pit. We cooked dinner each night and the kitchen had everything we needed. We ran into a small problem using the grill outside, but the staff called us just to check on us and I told them the grill was not working. They sent someone right out to check on and fix the problem. I would definitely stay here in the future!

The check in process was easy, the cabin was easy to find as long as you go by the directions given by Georgia Mountain Rentals, and overall the cabin was in great shape and was very clean. We had no issues during our short stay. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone��

Very nice three level cabin in a nice isolated area. If you want absolute privacy though, you may not like the fact that there is a cabin about 50 yards away, and you can see and hear the occupants when they are on the decks or at the fiepit. The people next to us were loud and slightly annoying. Very nice views from the upper deck, but the view of Yonah Mountain is mostly obscured by trees on the property. The cabin itself was very cozy and quite clean when we arrived. The kitchen was good.The living room furniture was clean, but not very comfortable. The beds were good. The outside furniture was a mixed bag - they had several new Adirondack chairs that were very comfortable, but the rocking chairs and other wood furniture was junk.
The firepit was our favorite thing at night. You'll have to supply your own firewood though. The outside of the cabin should probably be given a little more attention and tidied up occasionally. Overall we enjoyed our stay, as this is a very nice area for hiking, wineries,and various other outdoor activities.

My wife and I visited for two nights with our newborn, just looking to get away from the city and visit some of our favorite wineries. This location was perfect and met all of our needs, and made for an easy drive going and coming. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor fireplaces and took advantage of the grill. The sunset views were perfect, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Would visit again.

This cabin is perfect for a quick getaway. It is close to 2 other cabins, but there were no issues with noise. It is very convenient to Helen. Beautiful view of the mountains. The cabin was very clean and charming.

The property and location were excellent. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Georgia Mountains and the small quaint city of Helen. The depiction of the property was a bit deceptive. It was two bedrooms; however, the second bedroom was small and lacked the basic amenities for a bedroom, i.e. closet space, television. Although the property was fairly clean, it did lack thorough detailed cleaning. There was dust accumulation on horizontal and vertical surfaces. The kitchen was equipped with the basics, however, there were some items missing, i.e. cork screw, bottle opener, etc. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this vacation rental. I would likely visit again in the future, and possibly change to a fall visit to enjoy the mountains in the fall when leaves begin to change.

Overall we had a great time. The cabin was immaculate, the view was beautiful, we visited a number of nearby state parks where we hiked to a few waterfalls and enjoyed the outdoors. There are also a number of local vineyards and other attractions to visit nearby.
If I were to nitpick, the game room was a bit too small for a pool table, and the pool cues need new tips. If you are a serious or even semi-serious pool player, you will be disappointed. We were also unable to get a few TV channels we expected to be available (e.g. USA network). Normally we would not have cared, however we are huge Tampa Bay Lightning fans, and this meant finding someplace where we could watch the Stanly Cup playoff games. (Side note - HIGHLY recommend the Troll Tavern in Helen - excellent food, a great beer selection, and friendly, efficient staff!)
The video games, on the other hand, were a ton of fun - something like 60 games to choose from. (This was very handy on the one day that it rained all day, keeping us cabin-bound for most of the day!)
All of the folks in the rental office are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This was our second time renting a cabin from GA Mountain rentals, and we will certainly be using their services again in the future!

We were very happy with our stay at a glimpse of heaven. The road leading to the cabin was a little rough, wouldn’t want to drive it in bad conditions, but you need to go off the beaten path to get the kind of view you have with this cabin. The location was very convenient to get to Helen and the surrounding area. The unit had everything we needed, we enjoyed the hot tub, the arcade, the gas fireplace and bbq. The outdoor patios on each level were great too.

My husband and I had a great time. The cabin was spacious, inviting, and exactly what we were looking for. The view was beautiful! The cabin was decorated well and it was clean. I would have wanted a few more channels or a better selection but we didn't watch TV except right before bed. The beds were comfortable and the game room entertaining. The hottub was a great place for us to relax after a long day walking around Helen. We enjoyed the little shops in downtown Helen and the food.

The cabin was nice & quaint. The only issues we encountered were:

1. There was a balled up, dirty cleaning rag on the recliner upon entry.
2. The upstairs bathroom had toothpaste splatters all over the counter & objects on the counter.
3. Only 2 of the pillows on the bed had pillowcases. The extra pillows provided had none.
4. The downstairs thermostat would not go below 67. The upstairs was very hot, as it didn’t have a separate thermostat. I opted to sleep on the downstairs couch because of this.
5.There was no wifi password provided. I called to obtain the password & the password given was incorrect. We were never able to connect, which was hard because there was hardly any cell service.
6. The balconies had multiple spider webs everywhere.

Other than these things, the cabin was a lovely stay. It was a nice view on every balcony level. The cabin was cute & we had a good time. I would definitely recommend the occupancy be no more than 3 people.

A glimpse of heaven lived up to its name. We had a great time time staying there.
The cabin was clean, the master bedroom bed was super comfortable, the basement was the best with the arcade ( I set many high scores) the pool table and of course the hot tub. If you are on the fence, don’t hesitate, book and you’ll be glad you did. Oh and the view is amazing!!

Everything was perfect for us! Convenient to so many attractions. Just minutes to several antique shops, the winery, Helen and Uniqoi. Beautiful views from every level of the house. Clean and accommodating. The bed, oh, the bed. So comfortable. I slept like a baby. Fully equipped kitchen, plus an awesome grill on the porch. The game room and hot tub were where wonderful. The fire pit was great, just bring some fire wood. If you plan on watching a lot of TV, there are not a ton of channels. My husband and I were there to sight see and relax in peace, so not a big issue. Not extremely secluded, but just enough for us. Nice and quiet. Also, if you plan on sleeping or hanging out in the game room for long periods of time, it's chilly (we stayed in February), so maybe bring a space heater. I would definetly stay again. Maybe bring the kids next time. :) Thank you to host!

My husband and I "escape to the mountains" two or three times a year, typically staying at a different cabin each time. We both agreed that this one was our favorite and we would return. We like all the cabins where we stay, but we rarely ever like one enough to want to return to it instead of trying something new - we would come back to this one. The pictures of the view online don't do it justice at all - they are breathtaking, especially from the upstairs bedrooms and the main level, which is a wall of windows. The view is probably especially good in the winter because the trees have lost their leaves and it's a direct view right to the mountains. I spent every morning just staring out at them, feeling completely content. I also LOVED that little bar table built into the porch with the stools - what a nice touch! The gas fireplace was divine too.

The layout of the cabin was perfect for the two of us. We spent most of our time on the main level, cuddled up in front of the fire, but we also hung out downstairs quite a bit and LOVED the arcade game! That added such a fun touch to staying in a cabin. I also enjoyed walking up the steep mountain path to see the view from other vantage points. OH and that king bed is incredibly comfy.

Our stay truly was perfect, and I would rate this cabin 99% easily. There are only two tiny things I would change: The downstairs is really cold(although you get warmed up when you're playing the arcade - it would have been too cold to hang out and watch a movie down there) so a small heater would help that. The only other thing I'd change is the TV channel selection. We spent a lot of time at cabins just loafing, but there weren't very many channels available. Maybe the Direct TV package could be expanded or when those TVs die, just replace them with smart TVs so people can log in to their own Hulu/Netflix accounts.

We really enjoyed this cabin. It's very cozy and warm. It's private and has a nice view of the mountains. I had an issue connecting to the internet at first but getting help over the phone was super easy. Also, the cabin is very convenient to Helen and Hardman Farm.

This cabin was the perfect place for my daughter, son in law, 3 year old grandson and me. There was a pool table and arcade game loaded with a huge variety of games like PacMan, Galaga, Frogger, etc and my grandson had a good time learning how to play them. Great overall experience for our first VRBO rental. Gravel drive was slightly unpleasant. The view was limited to mostly trees but was still far different from what we see daily. The house next door was too close when the residents came outside to talk on the phone or argue with one another. We would come again if we were not driving. Might have to fly to a nearby city.

Let me start off by saying this is my 3rd time renting with Georgia Mountain Rentals and wont be my last, this cabin is very nice they layout is nice with the exception of the kitchen lay out, if you bring groceries you will have no place to store them except for on the counters. The TV had hardly any channels, they have Directv but the package has to be the smallest I have ever seen, they had cartoons, local channels and food network, not even A&E, Discovery any of the regular basic channels. Not a huge deal but it rained most of our stay and we would have liked to watch TV. The aracade game downstairs is awesome however the pool table is not really able to be used, the room is small so some shots you have to take with the little stick and their is furniture all around the pool table making the space even smaller. The cabin is beautiful and nicely decorated, it was clean and decently furnished. The master bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

4 of us stayed in this cabin for a long weekend. Really was a great little cabin. We loved having the hot tub and being basically right in between Helen and Cleveland. Location can't be beat. There were also beautiful views from all of the decks. We were generally very happy with the cleanliness and quality of the interior of the cabin, although I would recommended bringing your own towels as the ones included are of poor quality. Not a big deal, but something I would do next time!

Overall, a great weekend getaway at a great price. Would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful family vacation in a beautiful, clean cabin! We absolutely loved A Glimpse of Heaven and would stay there again in a heartbeat. The cabin is so cozy. The beds and couch were very comfortable. The kitchen has what you need, but if you are a gourmet home cook, you may want to bring some of your crucial tools (knife, dutch oven, spatula, etc). I actually cooked most of our meals at home and then brought them to reheat which worked out well. We had the BEST time introducing our 5 year old to the games of our childhood on the Pac-Man arcade game. The property is perfect for exploring down to the creek and in the winter, there is a beautiful mountain view. The best part of all was that the cabin was decked out in Christmas lights, decorations, and even a gorgeous tree! That was such an amazing surprise that really made our Christmas family retreat special. The cabin was very clean with nice towels though admittedly, we did pick up some Charmin at the grocery store in Helen to change out the provided tp rolls. The location is perfectly situated between Helen and Cleveland and local waterfalls/hiking. Close to everything (and gated, which we liked) but feels remote. Amazing experience! The house was very well situated near the hussel and bussel of Helen, but it had it's nested in seclusion to where it was very calming and relaxing. The exterior of the house is amazing but the interior was even better! The decor, the amenities, and the overall cleanliness is top notch!
The hospitality of Georgia Mountain Rentals can't be compared either!

After reading other reviews on this property I knew I had to book it for a weekend away with my husband and it lived up to its name. A Glimpse of Heaven was well maintained and the views of Yonah Mountain were fantastic. Close enough to the cities of Cleveland and Helen, yet tucked away enough to where all that you ever really hear are the birds chirping all around. Dahlonega was a short trip west, and Toccoa Falls a short trip East. We managed to cover quite a bit in two full days! The bed was very comfortable, kitchen had enough cooking equipment plates and utensils, and the game room downstairs was perfect after a long day around town. I will add that if you have never driven up steep roads, try to arrive on the first day before nightfall! My husband and I had quite the experience being that we are from very flat Florida. Otherwise we had a phenomenal time and will return here again. We will utilize Georgia Mountain Rentals when we plan our next North Georgia vacation with our children!

The cabin was wonderful! Very clean with amazing views! The management company was very great to deal with and very helpful. I would give all 5 starts except we were a little disappointed that there wasn’t a washer/dryer. I always pack light and wash my clothes while on vaca- I should have asked before so I could have been better prepared.

Beautiful, clean and perfect for our family of four! The views were out of this world! 5 minute drive to Helen. Overall was a great experience and we would definitely visit again!

We had a great time at the glimpse of heaven. The house was very nice and clean. The overall appearance was exactly detailed like the pictures on the website. Right down to the hot tub and game room. We had an amazing weekend and we are already planning a whole week for next year. Also thank you to the home owners for opening their home for rental guests. Thank you tho the staff of Georgia Mountain Rental too.

You never know when you go away what the place will be like. It always looks nice from the photos.... This place - A Glimpse of Heaven - was just that. It was really clean and smelled great. The view was amazing, and it was just a 5 min drive from Helen. Easy access in the gates and the home, thanks to the rental company - they were awesome as well. We couldn't have been more pleased.

These was perfect for our vacation to the Helen, GA area. Felt very tucked away and private. Overall it was a beautiful home. A few things that may need attention: 1.We also were not able to locate a broom to clean up the kitchen after meals. 2. I hope the owners consider adding a washer/dryer to the unit as that could significantly extend the amount of time renters spend here. The remoteness of the home makes it inconvenient to visit a laundromat. 3.There were several webs all over the decks and chairs that could have been easily swept away. The webs made it seem as though no one used the outside facilities much...which is a shame because the view is stunning! 4. There is only one chair down by the fire pit. All other guests would need to stand or site on the ground. The neighboring home has a very comfy fire pit arrangement.

These are just observances/comments. We had a great time here and would definitely book this home again!

Our mountain rental truly surpassed all expectations. Comfortable, clean, with good amenities and all set in the perfect location - three floors all with balconies and even a hot tub, pool table and space invader machine! We were greeted early evening by a deer and fireflies and enjoyed peace and quite in the most tranquil of environments. We enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets whilst indulging in some of the lovely local wines. We also witnessed spectacular lightning displays on a couple of nights. We would gladly return to such a relaxing location one day.

This cabin turned out to be a great choice for our family of 4. The location is great, you can get to Helen and all the other fun stuff to do in a matter of minutes but you are still secluded and have great views. The sunsets were awesome! My wife and I enjoyed the arcade games and my young kids enjoyed building fires and exploring the lot. We had an awesome time. Anything we needed was taken care of in quick order from GMR. Overall a fabulous vacation and we would definitely go back.

The cabin A Glimpse of Heaven was just as nice as the pictures EXCEPT there was no hot tub! A hot tub was on our very short must-have list. The staff at Georgia Mountain Rentals were extremely helpful and pleasant. They found us another cabin with a hot tub on very short notice. We drove to this other cabin, enjoyed the hot tub, but really liked the first cabin. So the rental company accommodated our wish and we moved back to A Glimpse of Heaven. I would rate this 9 out of 10 - if there had been a hot tub, it would get a 10! Will definitely use Georgia Mountain Rentals again!
