Our area is home to some spectacular waterfalls. Becky Branch Falls, Dick's Creek Falls, Martin Creek Falls, Mud Creek Falls, Minnehaha Falls (one of the most beautiful, must-see waterfalls in the north Georgia area, located just south of Lake Burton in Rabun county. This waterfall, a combination of falling and shoaling cascades, is approximately 100 feet high. The trail is a must-see as well, gently sloping through rhododendron and mountain laurel). Angel/Panther Falls, and High Shoals Falls (there are two tremendous waterfalls on the High Shoals Creek. These falls very dramatic, and a highly recommended hike. The falls are on a 170 acre scenic site and are reached by taking a 1.2 mile trail). |
